Hope for Coffee Receives 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Status: A Major Step Forward for Coffee County

We’re excited to share a milestone that marks a new chapter for our mission: Hope for Coffee is now an officially recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This approval is more than a legal designation, it’s a foundation for long-term impact, expanded partnerships, and sustainable recovery efforts across Coffee County, Georgia.

What 501(c)(3) Status Means for Hope for Coffee

Receiving 501(c)(3) status allows Hope for Coffee to:

  • Accept tax-deductible donations

  • Apply for local, state, and private grants

  • Build long-term partnerships with churches, businesses, and community leaders

  • Increase transparency, accountability, and sustainability

  • Expand programs focused on disaster recovery, community restoration, and family support

This milestone strengthens our ability to serve families affected by Hurricane Helene and future community needs with excellence and integrity.

Our First Initiative: The Sims Park Project

With our nonprofit status officially approved, our first major initiative is already underway.

Hope for Coffee will begin applying for local grant funding to help furnish and financially support the Sims Park Project—a space designed to serve as a hub for recovery, connection, and community renewal.

The Sims Park Project represents more than a physical location. It’s a place where:

  • Families can find support

  • Volunteers can gather and serve

  • Churches and organizations can collaborate

  • Hope can take root again in tangible ways

Grant funding will allow us to equip this space thoughtfully and steward resources well as we serve Coffee County.

Rooted in Hope. Built for the Future.

Hope for Coffee was born out of devastation—but it exists to point forward.

Rooted in Jeremiah 29:11, we believe God’s plans for this community are filled with hope, restoration, and purpose. This nonprofit approval positions us to walk alongside families not just in crisis, but throughout the long road to recovery.

We are deeply grateful for:

  • Every volunteer who showed up

  • Every prayer that carried us

  • Every donor who believed before this moment

  • Every partner committed to unity over recognition

This milestone belongs to all of us.
